"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough."

Landslide

I've been afraid of changing,
Coz I've built my life around you...
But time makes you bolder,
Children gets older,
I'm getting older too...

Note: I'm ready for a change...

Ps: this song is totally unrelated to the recent landslide in Hulu Langat... just a song that describe change...

My Alma Mater

Hari ni, 16 Mei 2011, bersempena dengan sambutan Hari Guru, me and a few of my friends (zulfadli hanib, ayul, ain mohd) pergilah memanjat bukit untuk melawat Sekolah Menengah Sains Muzaffar Syah (a.k.a MOZAC)... It was my alma mater... In many ways, I grew up here (walaupun just 2 tahun je kat sini)...

So, having said that, my trip to my alma mater is a rather nostalgic one... I have been here many times since my high school years, especially since my little brother is now also a Muzaffarian, but I've never been here on weekdays when the teachers are all around... My last trip here was like 5 years ago time nak amek sijil SPM dulu2...

Nervous gak time nak gi naik mula-mula tuh, tapi sebab kawan-kawan yang lain tu bersemangat, so redah jelah... Sampai kat atas tu dalam pukul 11 pagi, tapi program hari guru dalam dewan still tak abes lagi, so kami lepak-lepak kat kantin...

Semua cikgu-cikgu yang dari zaman saya sekolah sini dulu still kenal saya n ingat nama, cuma kebanyakan diaorang dah lupa kitorang batch mana... bila sebut batch SPM 2004, still blur2 lagi, bila sebut sama batch ngan ahmad muaz (ketua pelajar) je, baru cikgu-cikgu ingat batch kitorang... Mungkin kena panggil batch kami dengan nama "batch ahmad muaz", terus cikgu-cikgu ingat satu batch... hehe

Mula-mula gi masuk bilik kaunseling dulu, jumpa cikgu zulindawati (kaunselor) n borak2... Kami siap disuruh submit butir2 diri untuk masuk buku personaliti ex-mozac terbilang... wow... rugi sape tak balik sekolah jumpa cikgu zulindawati... hehe...

Pastu, gi bilik guru pulak, jumpa cikgu-cikgu lain... Rasanya hampir separuh cikgu-cikgu lama dah bertukar ke sekolah lain, banyak nampak cikgu-cikgu baru yang tak dikenali, so gi borak2 ngan cikgu-cikgu lama jelah, yang baru tu tegur n senyum cukuplah...

Cikgu Ismail masih cam dulu, baik, still rasa close to him sebab dia HEM n ketua warden zaman dulu2 tu... Miss Ija, Miss Amesah, Miss Ivy, all the English teachers whom I was close with during the debating years... Puan Saripah n Cikgu Rosnah, masih sempoi cam dulu, cam borak ngan kawan lak... hehe...

Cikgu Hassim pun still maintain, dan cikgu tanya saya "kenapa tak amek medik?"... hahaha... Saya dah abes belajar dah pun cikgu... hehe...

Ustazah Norliyen (guru kelas), Ustazah Almarjaan, Cikgu Suriati (Fizik), Cikgu Saifudin (Kaunselor), Cikgu Hamidah (Add Maths), Cikgu Hanita (BM), Cikgu Azniza (BM), Cikgu Sazali (Chem), Miss Rachel (Bio), dan Miss Ho (Maths) pun masih kat MOZAC lagi...

Pengetua ni masuk time kami keluar dulu...

Lepas ni nak datang mestilah ketika menjmput cikgu-cikgu ke kenduri kawen sendiri or setelah berkahwin... hehe...

Tak lama lepas tu, cikgu-cikgu semua kena gi meeting... Nah tengok sikit gambar-gambar...

5 Alpha, kelas lama, tapi sudah berubah kedudukan...

Surau dan pusat akses (xtau la apa tu, dulu bilik gamelan)

Far left - asrama lelaki, far centre - dining hall, far right - asrama perempuan

Dewan Muzaffar

Kantin

Blok pentadbiran etc...

Di antara 2 blok... Gambar diambil dari depan kelas saya time form 4 dulu... hehe

Penat berjalan-jalan, minum air kelapa kat kantin, sambil borak-borak... Update sikit pasal kawan-kawan lama...

Time zohor kami pun menuruni bukit Muzaffar pulang ke rumah masing-masing...

Today is awesome, it was a great experience... And the reason I wrote it down is not for other people to read it, but mostly, for me, so that I can recall today when I read this post tomorrow, next month, or next year...

Selamat Hari Guru to all my teachers, you guys are the best... Till we meet again...

My Fairytale Night

It has been 3 weeks since my graduation dinner at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuantan…. I kinda lost track of time when I’m at home, just like how I lost track of my age when I left school, so pardon me for being a little too late to write some thoughts on the memorable night…

It was a night to remember… Being part of the committee, I don’t think I should praise or criticize the event, kena batang hidung sendiri je nanti kan, but like it or not, it was memorable…

So in this article, I would write on the things that I wanna remember of the night…

Swiss Garden Hotel, the venue of the dinner was quite nice… The hall was big and beautifully decorated according to the fairytale theme… The sound system was good… The buffet was delicious, although I only managed to eat less than a plate of the main course, a bowl of soup and some desserts due to my duties… The only downside was that they only gave us permission to use their hotel room until midnight, I kinda hoped that I could spend the night there… hehe

The performances during the dinner were entertaining… The opening video by rx6th sisters was the only fairytale-themed performance of the night… The poetry by abang Badri was heart-felt… The “Hantu Kak Limah” video by rx6th brothers was super hilarious to me (korang memang berbakat, mantap)…

The song sang by cagan n the gang was addictive, it kept playing in my head for a week or so… And last but not least, the performance by committees, which was not the best vocal performance of the night, but it was dedicated to our dearest lecturers, and I do hope they felt our gratitude to them…

The award-giving (king, queen, best community attachment etc) was not exciting for me, maybe because being PC, I knew all the results before they announce it, so maybe there is no suspense there… hehe…

The photography session was a photography session, how I do I comment on that... But I loved the informal photography session much more… The part when I took pictures of me and my friends using my w995… However, being an inferior camera to the sort of DSLR, some of the pictures were not-so-good especially in the dim lights…

Anyway, good or crap, these are the pictures that I have to live with throughout my life, because I don’t think I’m gonna experience this again in this lifetime… Nah tengok sikit gambaq2..

The sesi bersalam dengan lecturers was awesome… I wished that all lecturers came, so that we could thank them all and say our proper goodbyes…

The sesi bersalam among rx6th was sad… I did not say goodbye (I think), because I hoped that we could meet again someday insyaAllah…

I would like to wrap up this article with special thanks to my boss PM Matmin who trusted me, to my same-portfolio-co-worker atiqah ( n sorry if I disturbed your family time in the preparation of this event), to other committees from other portfolios (especially bunif who has been extra helpful), to my dearest rx6th friends, to the junior committees and to miss MC (who has been an excellent MC in a program with many last minute changes)…

I'll cherish the memories forever...
